When during last summer holidays we learnt the pleasant message that the Project ROLE and among other schools also ours was accepted, we had been looking forward to the first meeting. The meeting agenda was prepared by Mr Gerard Stok, the Dutch teacher and the coordinator of the project, who is well-known to our colleagues and students thanks to the exchange trips organized by our and Dutch schools. Except setting down the mentioned tasks we had an opportunity to know not only the town of Hengelo, the seat of the school, but also the nearby city of Enschede and to visit the Open-air Museum near Arnhem. by the way, in Dutch it is called Openluchtmuseum. It showed us how people lived in Holland in the past, and also the opportunity to know typical Dutch buildings, e. g. farmers´ houses, windmills, brewery, cheese factory, but also the house of immigrants from Indonesia, the former Dutch colony. It was an interesting trip and as the weather was fine, we all enjoyed not only the walking in the beautiful scenery, but also the ride in an old tram that supports the old atmosphere.
